We will meet you to see the site and discuss your needs, ideas and project requirements. This allows us to understand your design brief. This is the most important part of the process for us and essential for us to get to know your likes, dislikes and how you would like to use your garden.
Within the typical design package we will visit site and measure up. This allows us to produce a simple survey drawing for use to create designs. On more complex or large sites we may recommend that you commission a formal topographical survey to give us more detailed information. We frequently work with local survey companies and will coordinate quotes for you if required.
We will prepare two garden design options to illustrate alternative ideas, layouts, styles and materials. Our typical design package includes the preparation of rendered plan view sketches. This approach aims to keep things simple and our design fee to a minimum. However where beneficial we can develop additional information to help explain the design. This could include a moodboard, 3D model & fly throughs, or a detailed planting design.
Once you have had time to think about the initial garden design options, we will get in touch to discuss. We are then able to finalise your preferred option or create a blended option. This final garden design sketch provides us with a masterplan for your garden.
We design nationally and for a range of contractors through PWP Design. We also offer a build service through PWP Landscape in the Leeds, Harrogate and York area. To find out more about our garden design and build service please download our brochure or contact us.
In 2025 we celebrated the opening of Olive Lane, which was delivered by Harworth Group at their flagship Waverley development in Yorkshire. Olive Lane is the ‘heart of the community’ with a vision to join together the Advanced Manufacturing Park and residential development at Waverley, through high quality commercial, community and residential uses. Our public realm and landscape design helps create a vibrant, welcoming, community focused place, featuring the high street, a central plaza and pocket parks. The launch event was attended by over 1,000 Waverley residents, which brought the street to life.
"PWP Design delivered an extensive and inspiring design guide and sketch design, transcending our own expectations of what was possible with our limited budget. Simon Hall's knowledge, enthusiasm and ever-present support has been a breath of fresh air and we are extremely thankful for his contribution to the project."
